Name: Lauren Katherine Rojas  (yes…my real name is Lauren.  It’s constantly throws people off) but everyone calls me Kate.

Hometown: Wilmette, IL where I live with my mom, dad, older brother Matthew and younger sister Annie

Year/Major: Sophomore in Choral Music Education

Part: Soprano 1

When I’m not swamped in school work or singing, I like watching movies, going out to eat, working out or hanging out with my friends.  I have amazing friends from both home and U of I and have no idea what I would do without them!  I am also obsessed with Gilmore Girls.  People have had to tell me that they are not real people because I get so attached but I could watch that show for hours (and have)!  I also love cheering on my Illini at either a football or basketball game!  I-L-L I-N-I! 

I love dogs, moose tracks ice cream, summer, the New York Yankees, musical theater, laughing, diet pepsi, and text messaging…definitely a little too much…and my family a lot! I have no idea where I would be without them!  Thanks for all your constant love and support!

I am so excited to be in the Rip Chords and am really looking forward to singing with a group of such talented and wonderful girls!
