We are THRILLED to present "Chordially Yours," our brand new CD released on April 13th, 2007. It features ten of our favorite songs from two years of Rip Chords music, 2005-2007. Notable tracks include Deborah Cox's "Nobody's Supposed To Be Here," Avril Lavigne's "Things I'll Never Say," En Vogue's "Yesterday" and "Zero To Hero" from Disney's Hercules. Each of the tracks was included in sets that garnered the Rip Chords 3rd place at the ICCA Midwest semifinals in 2006 & 2007.
Presence is the 2005 release from the Rip Chords. It's vaired tracklist includes showstoppers such as "Who I Am," by Jessica Andrews and "I'm Outta Love" by Anastacia. Both of these songs were performed by the Rip Chords at ICCA competitions, and garnered much recognition from fans as well as the judges, who ranked the Rip Chords 3rd in the 2004 Midwest semifinal. A favorite CD of some of the current members of the Rip Chords, "Let Her Rip" (2000) is the perfect mix of soothing ballads and catchy pop songs. Take one home today and be the envy of all your friends.
"Drive," released in 1999, was created by a generation of Rip Chords who had unprecedented drive and ambition to perform with fellow groups, improve their musicality, and really just bring the Rip Chords to a whole new level in college a cappella! Limited copies are available, so get yours today!
1180, released in the late 90s, was the second album released by The Rip Chords. Quite cleverly, this CD is named after the number of the room where this year's group practiced in the basement of the Music Bldg.
And the nostalgia kicks in...we present "Freefall," the first album for the Rip Chords and a groudbreaking release for women's a cappella throughout the United States. While this energetic album from 1996 sounds very different from the Rip Chords of today, the same energy and excitement shines through the music. Best of all, it contains the first official recording of the Rip Chords' anthem: "Yesterday," which we still sing today.
